“Harpy”“Hydra”“Cerberus”“Leshy”“Kikimora/Domovoy”“Baba Yaga”“Kitsune”“Jorōgumo”“Rokurokubi”In this linocut series I have been researching folkloric creatures found within various cultures, from Japanese yokai to the mythical creatures found in Slavic, Norse and Greek mythology. I carved each print onto a sheet of A4 lino before printing them on 30gsm light natural lokta paper, a handmade mountain paper from Eastern Nepal.
